ABOUT DIRK DE NIJS
Drummer Dirk de Nijs is a well known musician in the jazz and pop scene. He graduated cum laude from the Conservatory in Tilburg and also studied in Rome for half a year at Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome. Educated by one of the greatest drummers of Europe: Hans van Oosterhout.
Dirk is a versatile drummer and has a lot of musicality and energy in his playing. He has played with a lot of different artist like: Phillip Lassiter, Candy Dulfer, Eric Vloeimans, Anton Goudsmit, Caro Emerald, Suzan & Freek, Guus Meeuwis, Roel van Velzen, Jeroen van Vliet, Shirma Rouse, Benjamin Herman and de Raad van Toezicht.
He is currently playing/touring with: Suzan&Freek, Meika, Club Dauphine band, Efraïm Trujillo kwartet.
Beside playing, Dirk is also a studio musician and a teacher.
